Define the exact problem

General decluttering advice is difficult to act on when the reader cannot see which room, object or routine creates the most friction. Create one page per recurring problem and record the place, time, people involved, objects left behind and the consequence of leaving it unresolved.

Build the smallest workable plan

Turn each observation into a small experiment with a start date, a physical change and one measure of success. Keep ideas that require purchases in a separate parking list.

Practical checks

  • Describe behavior without blaming a person.
  • Measure available dimensions before drawing solutions.
  • Photograph the same viewpoint before and after.
  • Review whether the reset survives a busy day.

Test it in ordinary use

Use each worksheet for a week. A useful page should lead to a clear keep, move, remove or buy-later decision rather than another vague aspiration.

Keep the useful result

The workbook becomes a record of what the home actually needs, making future projects smaller, more deliberate and easier to compare.
